How do I become a foreman?
Becoming a foreman is easy!
The foremen at Sydskånska Nationen are elected by the Seniors College, and are recommended by the Quratel. Our foremen are involved in various parts of our business, they plan creative dishes, run cool club concepts with live acts, protect the environment and manage fantastic parties to name a few things. Quite simply, they develop and manage our businesses. Our foremen constantly strive to enrich the experience of our guests when they are here with us at Sydskånska.
If you want to deepen your involvement and apply for Foreman, please fill in this form. You will then be contacted by Quratelet for a short interview, and then you will find out if you are nominated! The election will take place at the Senior College on 11/12, which you can attend if you wish!

DESCRIPTION OF OUR FOREMEN’S POSTS
SEXMASTERY
Club Foreman
As a Club Foreman, you are responsible for planning our Saturday clubs. You are responsible for deciding any themes for the club events, booking DJs or live acts, marketing, getting workers and during the evening supervising them so that both workers and guests have a great evening. Club foremen are free to set their own direction and stamp on our established club concepts. You are responsible for the club about every four weeks depending on the number of foremen.
Sitting foreman
The Sittning Foreman is responsible for setting up and setting tables and preparing the bar before the seating together with his workers. During the sitting, the responsibility is to serve the pre-drink, manage the bar and the service and ensure that all guests have a pleasant evening. You’ll work with the chef and kitchen to make sure the seating goes as smoothly as possible. You are responsible for the seating 1-2 times a month depending on the number of foremen.
Pub foreman
As a Pub Foreman, you are responsible for either the bar or the kitchen. You take turns with your fellow foremen so that everyone works the kitchen and bar a few times each. If you work in the kitchen, you decide what to cook, find recipes and place a food order and then cook the food together with your colleagues. If you’re in charge of the bar, you’ll set up tables and tidy up the room, prepare the bar, be in charge of music, and then when the pub opens, you and your workers will take care of the entrance, the bar and serving the food. Theme nights or entertainment of various kinds are appreciated and can be planned together with the person in charge of the kitchen or with the whole pub management team. You are responsible for the pub about every three weeks depending on the number of foremen.
KITCHEN MASTERY
Cook
As a Chef Foreman, you prepare food for our sittings. You plan and look up recipes for a three-course menu, place food orders and then cook this food together with your workers. You work with the seating supervisor to make sure the seating goes as smoothly as possible. You are responsible for the sit-down meal 1-2 times per month depending on the number of foremen.
Lunch foreman
As a Lunch Foreman you are responsible for our Friday lunch. Before lunch, you decide on recipes, order food and find workers. On Fridays, you help to prepare the hall and to cook and serve the food. You are responsible for the lunch about every four weeks depending on the number of foremen.
Café foreman
As a Café Foreman, you are responsible for Kafé Mona on Tuesdays. You choose and plan what food and pastries to serve. You place food orders, write event texts and find workers. On Tuesdays, you help set up the hall and bake and serve the food together before the movie starts. You are responsible for Kafé Mona about every three weeks depending on the number of foremen.
Osignat foreman
Osignat takes place one Friday every month and is our open mic café. As a foreman, you find acts that want to perform during the event and plan and order the food to be cooked. You’ll also find workers to help you set up, cook and tend bar during the event.
OTHER FOREMAN POSTS
NATU Foreman
NATU stands for Nationens Aktivitets- och Trivselutskott and the foreman’s job is to organize fun and varied irregular activities. It can be anything from game nights, dance workshops, forest excursions, snowman competition to exchange of cuttings or clothes. The only limit is your imagination!
Sports Foreman
As a Sports Foreman, you are responsible for organizing fun sports activities. We play football every Sunday but beyond that, you are free to put your stamp on the post. In the spring semester, work is included during the traditional Tandem Relay.
Photo Foreman
As a Photo Foreman, you are responsible for ensuring that our activities are immortalized. You can take photos yourself or find workers. It is an advantage if you can also help edit the pictures.
Graphic Designer
As a Graphic Designer, you will assist our PR Manager in producing graphic material for the various activities of the Nation.
IT/Web Foreman
As IT Foreman, you are responsible for our website and our online presence.
Laundry foreman
What would a nation be without clean shirts and tablecloths? As a Laundry Foreman, you make sure that all our textiles are washed and folded! You are responsible for the laundry every two weeks.
